Brief Introduction to the E-Business Center of China Tungsten Industry Association

The E-business center of China Tungsten Industry Association (CTIA) was established in 2000 by Chinatungsten Online and CTIA. In the past 10 years, it has been offered more than 100,000 news, business requirements and information of tungsten, tungsten alloy, tungsten carbide and molybdenum worldwide.

For offering more information and products to visitors, the new web site versions of E-Biz center of CTIA has been created more pages such as tungsten news in Chinese, in English, in Japanese, meantime, CTIA is offering more information of tungsten, tungsten carbide, tungsten alloy and tungsten copper products in this center. Hereafter is the brief introduction to these typical products.

There are many tungsten manufacturers in the Chinese mainland, but their products are always 4 types as pure tungsten, tungsten carbides, tungsten alloys and tungsten copper alloys.

The final tungsten products should be tungsten powder and tungsten carbide powder, pure tungsten products are made from tungsten powder (sometimes it used doped tungsten powder) by sintered, forged, drawing and redrawing, the pure tungsten products as tungsten bar, tungsten rod, tungsten wires and tungsten heaters, more details may visit the site of www.tungsten.com.cn

Tungsten Alloys are always named tungsten heavy alloys (WHAs) and high-density heavy alloy. Nowadays, Chinese manufacturers can offer tungsten alloy products under Chinese and U.S. military and aviation material standard. Also, tungsten alloys products are, tungsten alloy rod, tungsten alloy swaging rod, tungsten alloy cylinder, tungsten alloy disc, tungsten alloy bar, tungsten alloy tube, tungsten alloy plate, tungsten alloy strip, tungsten alloy block, tungsten alloy cube, tungsten alloy sphere, tungsten alloy source holder, tungsten alloy brick, tungsten alloy billet, tungsten heavy alloy for high density fishing sinker, golf head, tungsten alloy counterweight for sailboat, tungsten alloy counterweight for vehicle, tungsten alloy ballast for aircraft/helicopters, tungsten alloy crankshaft, tungsten alloy counterweight for oil logging, tungsten putty, tungsten alloy mobile phone vibrator, tungsten alloy clock vibrator, tungsten alloy paperweight, tungsten alloy bucking bar, tungsten alloy for gold substitution, tungsten alloy stud, tungsten alloy welding rod as counterpart to Anviloy, tungsten alloy prefabricated fragments, tungsten alloy for military, tungsten alloy hunting shot, dart barrel and the application of medical, radiation instruments, for more information, please visit the web of www.tungsten-alloy.com

Copper Tungsten / Tungsten Copper, also called Tungsten Copper Alloy ( CuW, or WCu), in fact, tungsten copper alloy is not a real alloy but a pseudo-alloy of copper and tungsten. As copper and tungsten are not mutually soluble, the material is composed of distinct particles of one metal dispersed in a matrix of the other one. The microstructure is therefore rather a metal matrix composite than a true alloy. Tungsten copper alloy combines the properties of both metals, resulting in a material that is heat-resistant, ablation-resistant, highly thermally and electrically conductive, and easy to machine. Parts are made from the WCu alloy by pressing the tungsten particles into a desired shape, sintering the compacted part, then infiltrating with molten copper. Sheets, rods and bars of the alloy are available as well.
Tungsten copper is used when a product or part needs to have a high heat resistance, low thermal expansion and high electrical or thermal conductivity. Tungsten copper is used to make engines and electrical devices. It is also used in the fields of aviation and spaceflight. The main products are tungsten copper electrodes, tungsten copper refractory parts, tungsten copper heat sinks, tungsten copper rocket parts and tungsten copper electrical contacts are all made from tungsten copper. This alloy is also made into sheet metal, tubing and plate metal. It is used to make contacts for both high and low voltage electrical devices, and for high speed steel devices and switches.

Tungsten Carbide products are also named tungsten cemented carbide products. Tungsten carbide products are the major tungsten products, almost 70% tungsten products are tungsten carbide sintered parts: they are tungsten carbide wear parts, tungsten carbide rod, tungsten carbide milling inserts, tungsten carbide indexable insert, tungsten carbide drawing dies, tungsten carbide mining tools, tungsten carbide wood cutting tools and tungsten carbide cutting tools, etc.

If you are interested in any of tungsten products, please contact E-Biz Center of CTIA at: ebiz@ctia.com.cn
